ROCCO Hackathon 2025 Challenges Announced!

We are delighted to announce that the Hackathon 2025 Challenges have been revealed, setting the stage for fresh thinking and groundbreaking solutions in Roaming and Messaging.

The Roaming Challenge, introduced by Matthew Bisoffi from CKH IOD, invites innovators to rethink and enhance global roaming services using API technology. Participants will design API solutions that either modernize roaming for efficiency or create new revenue opportunities for mobile operators. The focus is on scalability, security, seamless integration, and business viability. Potential applications include SIM Swap verification, Location Verification, and Know Your Customer (KYC) enhancements. This is a chance to revolutionize roaming by making it smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly.

Meanwhile, the Messaging Challenge, led by Pablo Mlikota from e&, is all about restoring and sustaining trust in A2P SMS and RCS Business Messaging (RBM). As fraud and scams threaten these vital communication channels, this challenge calls on innovators to create a secure, scalable, and globally viable solution to verify and protect business messaging. The focus is on fraud detection, verification mechanisms, compliance, and seamless integration, to build a future where businesses connect with customers securely, transparently, and with confidence.
